- Learn-to-Hunt
- Riverland Conservancy partners with local conservation organizations to provide opportunities for women and youth to learn to hunt pheasants and turkeys.
- Deer management
- Our deer management program gives local hunters an opportunity to learn first-hand about conservation techniques by enlisting their help with our stewardship activities.
- Interpretive trails
- An interpretive trail has been developed that showcases the diverse habitats at the Merrimac Preserve. The trail can be enjoyed as a self-guided tour. Other trails, such as the Ice Age Trail and the Eagle Scout Trail are also available for recreational use.

- Riverland Conservancy works closely with this conservation organization to engage local youth in stewardship activities.
