EDUCATION
Riverland Conservancy provides environmental learning and recreational opportunities for school groups, researchers, conservation practitioners, and the public.

  • Internships
    • Riverland Conservancy offers a limited number of land trust internships each summer.
  • Research Opportunities
    • Riverland Conservancy is proud to offer researchers an opportunity to conduct approved ecological research
  • Programs
    • Learn-to-Hunt
      • Riverland Conservancy partners with local conservation organizations to provide opportunities for women and youth to learn to hunt pheasants and turkeys.
    • Deer management
      • Our deer management program gives local hunters an opportunity to learn first-hand about conservation techniques by enlisting their help with our stewardship activities.
    • Interpretive trails
      • An interpretive trail has been developed that showcases the diverse habitats at the Merrimac Preserve.  The trail can be enjoyed as a self-guided tour.  Other trails, such as the Ice Age Trail and the Eagle Scout Trail are also available for recreational use.

    • Youth Environmental Projects of Sauk County
      • Riverland Conservancy works closely with this conservation organization to engage local youth in stewardship activities.
    • Volunteers
      • Volunteers are important to Riverland Conservancy and we welcome volunteers to help with stewardship activities and other project work.
