PARTNERSHIPS
Riverland Conservancy strives to conduct its activities and operations in partnership with a wide range of organizations, including local, state, and federal agencies, conservation groups, and the private sector.
- Wetland and prairie restoration
- Riverland Conservancy has worked with numerous organizations to accomplish our restoration goals. With the help of our partners we have completed over 200 acres of wetland and prairie restoration. Our partners offer assistance in a variety of ways including donations of money, materials, and services.
- Ice Age Park and Trail Foundation
- With four miles of the National Scenic Ice Age Trail traversing the Merrimac Preserve, we work closely with the Foundation members to maintain the trail.
- Important Bird Area
- The Lansing Preserve is part of region considered extremely important as a major avian migration corridor, as well as maintaining a very diverse breeding bird community. Riverland Conservancy is working with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Iowa Audubon, US Fish and Wildlife Service and others to maintain the diverse habitat of this area.
